The wait is over! This Friday, we officially launch the new Steppe Inne at our brilliant new home – the British Corner Pub (4th floor, Olympic Residence).
🎭 Burns Night: A Wee Dram of Success! 🥃
What a night! Burns Night 2025 was an absolute triumph, filled with laughter, poetry, bagpipes, and, of course, a generous flow of whisky! 🥂 A huge thank you to everyone who poured their heart and soul into making it happen—it wouldn’t have been the same without you.
🎶 Pipes, Poetry & Pints
The evening kicked off in true Scottish style, with the sound of bagpipes filling the air, setting the perfect tone for a night of tradition and revelry. The Address to the Haggis was delivered with all the dramatic flair it deserves, and let’s not forget the haggis itself—rich, peppery, and absolutely delicious!
Toasts were raised, glasses clinked by the British and USA Ambassadors, and Burns’ words rang out, reminding us why this celebration of Scotland’s beloved bard is always one for the books.
🎉 A Night to Remember
From the heartfelt Immortal Memory to the cheeky Toast to the Lassies and the sharp-witted Reply, the spirit of Burns was well and truly alive. The dance floor saw its fair share of action, and the whisky—well, let’s just say it flowed as freely as the banter!
🥂 Here’s to Many More!
With such a brilliant evening behind us, it’s clear that BritCham knows how to throw a party! Here’s to more unforgettable nights, and may next year’s Burns be even bigger, bolder, and just as filled with haggis and cheer! Slàinte mhath! 🏴

🍽️ UNESCO Street: The New 200-Meter Foodie Zone You Didn't Know You Needed 🍜
If you’re strolling down UNESCO Street from The One Residence to the bridge, hold onto your stomach—because you’re about to enter Ulaanbaatar’s tastiest 200-meter stretch. Whether you're a spice lover, a health nut, or just here for the beer, this new foodie pocket has something for everyone. Let’s take a bite-sized tour:
🇵🇪 Muchik Restaurant – Latin Vibes, Full Belly
Starting things off, we’ve got the legend: Muchik Restaurant, home to Chef Miguel’s Latin American wizardry. From ceviche that slaps harder than your abuelita to black ink pasta that makes you question your life choices (in a good way), this spot brings fire and flair to your plate. The Lomo Saltado is pure comfort food meets salsa dancing—meaty, saucy, and with fries tucked in like a love letter to your taste buds. Pair it with their meat platter and one of their “no time for pendejos” cocktails and you’re golden.
📍Find it right by The One Residence
🥗 Foody Vegan Experience – Your Daily Dose of “I Feel So Clean Now”
Just around the corner—literally—is Foody Vegan Experience, where lunch turns into a full-blown wellness ritual. This place doesn’t just do food—it curates enlightenment. The Gut Garden Nuts Fried Rice sounds like something your yoga instructor would whisper post-savasana, and the Evergreen Thai Curry is so green it probably has its own kombucha subscription. And the Vegan Ginger Pork? Spoiler: it’s not pork. It’s better.
💡 Tip: Eat here before your Muchik night to balance karma.
🇹🇷 Mangal Turkish Halal Restaurant – Meat, Heat & Repeat
Next up is Mangal Turkish Restaurant, your one-stop shop for juicy halal meat and Turkish hospitality. Think sizzling kebabs, juicy kofte, and the kind of rice that makes you text your mum. Bonus points: you can wash it all down with a cold beer (Turkish-style contradiction? We love it). The Kasap Köfte and Kuzu Şiş are grilled to perfection—and you’ll probably leave with a new appreciation for lamb (and life).
🍺 Yes, it’s halal. Yes, you can have a beer. Welcome to balance.
🍜 HAKU Japanese Restaurant – Noodles & Ninjas
Right before the bridge, HAKU pulls you into its adorable, anime-style universe where the mascot is a fluffy dog and the wings are called Ninja Wings. I mean, come on. You can't make this stuff up. Their Samurai Udon is a full bowl of umami with a soft-boiled egg floating like it’s meditating, and the Dashimaki is so cute and limited that you feel like a VIP just eating it. It’s wholesome, fun, and absolutely slurp-worthy.
🥋 Pro tip: order the Ninja Wings spicy if you’re feeling brave.
Final Thoughts?
In just 200 meters, you can travel from Lima to Istanbul to Tokyo... and still make it back in time for a salsa party at Muchik. Ulaanbaatar’s UNESCO Street is quickly becoming the food street to beat. So, wear stretchy pants, bring your appetite, and maybe cancel that gym membership.
📍Mark your GPS: From The One Residence to the bridge on UNESCO Street.
👟Bring your walking shoes. 🍴Bring your hunger.
