The Eccentric British Adventure

Back in 2008, two lads from Richmond purchased a battered old Mr. Bean mini and drove it all the way from Blighty to Ulaanbaatar with a bloody telephone box attached to the roof.

Across the Alps and tundras of Eastern Europe and Kazakhstan, in the footsteps of the Great Khaan himself, they traveled to the bewilderment of locals pondering, "How on earth did those Brits build such a great empire?"

Of course, it was all for charity with a little bit of self-preservation, and the phone box was actually made from wood. Did you seriously think the mini could take the weight? Bless you if you did...

Our intrepid explorers were part of the Great Mongol Rally and by chance, they came upon another eccentric Brit who offered them £500 for the phone box as long as they donated the money to CNCF. They duly did, and that phone box is, to this day, still to be found at Hennessy’s Bar behind the Kempinski Hotel.
